Summary

The Game Boy Color version of Centipede brings the classic arcade shooter to a handheld with a fresh palette of bright colors that still feel true to the ’80s vibe. You can tackle the crawling menace solo, alternate turns with a friend on a single device, or link two Game Boys for a cooperative bug‑blasting session, turning the solitary arcade experience into a shared challenge. In this port the player pilots the Bug Blaster, spraying pesticide at a segmented centipede that slithers through a field of mushrooms. Each hit turns a segment into a mushroom, and shooting a middle segment splits the creature, spawning new heads that race down the screen. Fleas, spiders and scorpions add extra hazards, while points stack up for heads, mushrooms and enemies, granting an extra life every 12,000 points. The gameplay mirrors the original arcade feel, demanding quick reflexes and a bit of strategy to keep the garden pest‑free.
