Summary

Blade landed on the Game Boy Color as a portable spin on the 1998 vampire‑hunter film, trying to squeeze the movie’s gritty vibe into a tiny screen. You get to swing alongside Blade’s mentor, Abraham Whistler, as they hunt the undead, but the handheld’s limited palette and clunky camera often turn the action into a frustrating shuffle. Critics were split: some appreciated the effort to bring a Marvel blockbuster to a handheld, while many slammed the grainy graphics, stiff controls, and voice work that felt more like a cheap dub than the film’s edgy tone. In the end, the game’s biggest gripe was that it never quite captured the movie’s spirit, leaving fans with a nostalgic curiosity rather than a true Blade experience.
