Puyo Puyo Gaiden: Puyo Wars
1999 Strategy
The Game Boy Color version of 102 Dalmatians: Puppies to the Rescue drops you into a stylized London, where each stage echoes a famous spot—Regent’s Park, Piccadilly, Big Ben, even a whimsical Stonehenge. You pick either Oddball or Domino, two mischievous Dalmatian pups, and set off on a quest that feels more like a treasure hunt than a typical platformer.
Every level hides a spirit‑animal guide who hands out tasks, and completing them fills a virtual sticker book—collect 100 bones, rescue fellow puppies, defeat henchmen, or solve a puzzle to earn a new sticker. Checkpoints are marked by a cheeky parrot named Waddlesworth, so a slip doesn’t send you back to the very start.
Health comes from scattered food, and extra lives are tucked away for the observant. One quirky detail sets this version apart: any toys you smash stay broken, a small nod to the game’s more permanent consequences.
In the Game Boy Color platformer 102 Dalmatiens à la Rescousse (often called 102 Dalmatians: Rescue), players take on the role of two tiny Dalmatian puppies trying to outwit Cruella de Vil.
Cruella has reprogrammed the toys in her massive factory, forcing them to capture every Dalmatian pup and lock them in cages. The captured puppies are used as a power source, their growing bodies feeding the factory’s engines.
Two of the smallest pups, Oddball and Domino, manage to slip through the gears because of their size. Their mission is to free the remaining puppies and escape the clanking plant before the factory can harvest them.
