Summary

Yu‑Gi‑Oh! World Championship Tournament 2004 lets you dive into the full‑blown card‑battle experience by letting you build three distinct decks – monsters, spells and traps – and even a special‑summon deck for niche strategies. With over 1,000 cards to choose from, you can duel solo or hook up a friend for a multiplayer showdown, feeling the same rush as the TV series.
The game throws 29 computer opponents at you, each with a themed deck – Yugi’s Basic set, an Exodia‑hunting deck, Yami Yugi’s Ultimate collection, and more. Duelist 29 stays locked until you beat Marik at least once, and to unlock the final challengers you must maintain a fifteen‑win margin over every other duelist.
Even though the AI often makes baffling choices, like refusing to attack a face‑down monster with higher defense, the title rewards collectors: once you own every one of the 1,138 Japanese cards you can ignore the Limited List entirely. The GBA classic was re‑released in 2025 as part of the Yu‑Gi‑Oh! Early Days Collection, preserving its nostalgic charm for new fans.
