Summary

Yoshi's Universal Gravitation—known in North America as Yoshi Topsy‑Turvy—stands out on the Game Boy Advance thanks to its built‑in tilt sensor. By simply rocking the handheld left or right, the whole world tilts, turning walls into ramps and rolling enemies across the screen, which adds a physical puzzle layer beyond the usual button presses. Yoshi still jumps and darts his tongue to gobble fruit and foes, but after a bite he releases a puff of air instead of laying eggs, keeping the focus on the shifting terrain.

Each level is overseen by a spirit with a quirky obsession—money, speed, friendliness, strength, and so on—and they set the win conditions, whether it’s rescuing Egglings, collecting coins, or avoiding combat. Mastering both the tilt mechanics and the spirit’s demands is the key to progress, and while the concept earned the game mixed reviews, it remains a memorable experiment in handheld physics.

Storyline

When Bowser starts wreaking havoc on Yoshi's Island, a mysterious book spirit named Hongo intervenes and traps the entire island inside the pages of a storybook. The only way to free the island is for Yoshi to lock Bowser away within the book, convincing Hongo to release the rest of the island. Determined, Yoshi sets out in Yoshi no Banyu Inryoku (WRG) to progress through the chapters, battling foes and solving puzzles to seal Bowser and reclaim his home.
