Summary

X‑Bladez: Inline Skater on the Game Boy Advance tries to cram the thrill of extreme‑sports racing into a handheld format. You pick up a skater and blast through thirteen tracks spread across five countries, tackling both slalom‑style sections and full‑circuit routes. The game offers three basic modes—Tour, where a string of races builds a season; Time, a pure speed‑run against the clock; and Practice, a sandbox for perfecting flips, spins and grinds. Along the way you can snag power‑ups like speed boosts and spend earned credits in the in‑game shop to upgrade skates and wheels, tweaking acceleration, top speed, balance and cornering. Despite the ambitious feature set, the GBA version was panned for its garish graphics, tinny sound and clunky controls, earning it a reputation as an ugly, boring spin on the genre.
