Summary

WWE Survivor Series brings the excitement of the pay‑per‑view right to the Game Boy Advance, letting me step into the shoes of WWE’s biggest superstars. A brand‑new single‑player mode tasks you with climbing the rankings and challenging for the belts, while the fresh reversal and momentum systems keep each grapple feel unpredictable. The game expands the match catalogue with eight different types—including Cage, Tag Team and Fatal 4‑Way—so friends can clash in quick, chaotic bouts. The roster is a neat split of eight Raw and eight SmackDown wrestlers, each coded with distinct strength, speed and submission attributes that make every character feel genuine. Critics gave WWE Survivor Series mixed scores, landing a middling Metacritic rating, but it remains notable as the last GBA WWE title before the series moved to Nintendo’s DS three years later.

Storyline

WWE Survivor Series on the Game Boy Advance revamped its story mode to reflect the WWE’s 2002 Brand Extension. In this mode you pick either Raw or SmackDown and work your way to the top of that brand before hopping to the other to try and dominate both. The goal isn’t just to rack up wins; the game rewards you for putting on a solid, balanced match. Matches are designed to feel less one‑sided, encouraging you to focus on pacing and variety rather than a simple knockout. This shift makes the single‑player experience feel more like a real WWE showcase than a pure win‑or‑lose grind.
