Summary

Touhoumon World Link is a fan‑made romhack that swaps the familiar Pokémon roster for the all‑female cast of the Touhou Project, turning the GBA’s classic adventure into a bullet‑hell‑tinged quest. The game keeps the core catch‑and‑train loop but layers in danmaku‑style battles, and the in‑game “puppets” are even called Boneka, the Indonesian word for doll, adding a quirky cultural twist.

The original World Link hack earned a reputation for its wild quirks: absurd level spikes, bloated base stats, labyrinthine maps, and trainers that practically hand you four Full Restores each. Those flaws made it a love‑it‑or‑hate‑it experience, attracting a niche crowd of masochistic challenge seekers.

A later “World Link: Revised” patch smooths out those rough edges, introducing nature‑based stat changes, an IV/EV checking window, and a host of quality‑of‑life upgrades. The revisions aim to turn the chaotic 1.5‑generation hack into a more polished, yet still uniquely Touhou‑flavored, Pokémon adventure.
