Summary
Create the perfect companion for your Sim in The Sims 2: Pets, where you can pick from classic breeds like Dalmatians and Persians or mix and match features for a truly unique dog or cat. After selecting a look, you assign a personality—whether shy, clever or lazy—to shape how the pet behaves in daily life. Your Sim can teach tricks, take the pet to the park, and build a long‑lasting bond.
On the Game Boy Advance the title adopts a light role‑playing structure, guiding you through a training curriculum and a series of competitive encounters against other trainers. Money earned from activities lets you purchase “trick scrolls” to unlock new abilities, while NPC rivals provide clear goals for each stage. The gameplay revolves around a collection of focused mini‑games such as walking, obedience trials and showcase contests, keeping the sandbox spirit familiar yet tightly framed for handheld play.
Storyline
The Sims 2: Pets for the Game Boy Advance lets you bring animal companions into your Sim’s daily life. You can adopt dogs, cats, or even guinea pigs and watch them develop their own personalities—smart, friendly, silly, or hyper.
More than 22 dog breeds and 15 cat breeds are available, from Retrievers and Beagles to Pugs, Schnoodles, Maine Coons and Siamese, and you can customize appearance with body shape, color, fur, nose and ears.
Pets can be trained to learn tricks, and you’ll find them romping in the Central Town Park where they meet other Sims and their animals. Local shops sell accessories to dress up your furry friends.
As the town center grows, the choices you make shape the stories of both Sims and their pets, giving you full control over their lifelong adventures.
