Summary

Star Wars: The New Droid Army (often just New Droid Army) drops you into an isometric‑style GBA adventure where Anakin Skywalker slices droids and reflects blaster fire with his lightsaber. The nine stages crawl across the galaxy, from Tatooine’s sands to the metallic depths of Coruscant, each unlocking one of five force powers – dash, jump, push, rapid healing and extended invisibility. Stamina and force energy deplete when you’re hit or when you use abilities, and the only way to refill them is to pause and recover or tap the later‑learned meditation skill. Small squads of clone troopers appear as static allies you can sacrifice to blast enemy waves, adding a fleeting tactical edge. The game’s lack of pickups forces you to balance combat aggression with careful timing, giving the handheld a surprisingly strategic feel.

Storyline

Anakin Skywalker is dispatched to investigate rumors of a new, lightsaber‑impervious droid being built by the Separatists. He travels to Tatooine, is hunted by Aurra Sing, captured by Jabba the Hutt, and ultimately breaks free.

Back on Coruscant he pursues and defeats a Dark Jedi named Trenox, then uncovers Count Dooku’s plot to destroy the Jedi Archives. Anakin stops the sabotage, but Dooku escapes.

The next mission sends him to Metalorn to raze the Cortosis Droid Factory and capture Wat Tambor, leader of the Techno Union. After completing both tasks, Anakin confronts Dooku again, defeats him, and declares his loyalty to the Jedi, quoting a promise to Yoda. This alternate Revenge of the Sith ending drives the storyline of Star Wars: The New Droid Army on the Game Boy Advance.
