Summary
SpongeBob's Atlantis SquarePantis stands out as the first SpongeBob title that leans directly on a made‑for‑TV movie, pulling its visuals and humor straight from the Atlantis SquarePantis special. I love how the game captures the quirky spirit of the series while giving players a fresh, movie‑inspired adventure.
Released on October 23, 2007, it marked Altron’s debut on the franchise and turned out to be the final SpongeBob entry for both the PlayStation 2 and Game Boy Advance. The next handheld outing would be Drawn to Life: SpongeBob SquarePants Edition, closing the GBA chapter on a nostalgic note.
