Summary

Spider-Man 3 on the Game Boy Advance captures the movie’s high‑octane vibe in a compact 2D side‑scrolling beat‑’em‑up. Vicarious Visions brought the title to life with characters rendered in a subtle 2.5‑D style, giving sprites a bit of depth without breaking the classic side‑view gameplay. Navigation happens through a handy map that lets you pick the next mission, while each level peppers you with question‑bubble icons that drop useful hints, keeping the action flowing smoothly. The design focuses on clear button‑mashing combos and swing‑through set pieces, making every encounter feel like a mini showdown from the film. Even on the modest handheld hardware, the game manages to pack recognizable Spider‑Man moves, diverse enemy types, and a steady ramp‑up in difficulty that keeps you hooked from one level to the next.

Storyline

In Spider-Man 3 for the Game Boy Advance, while patrolling the city Spider‑Man sees a building on fire, defuses a bomb, and then spots the New Goblin – his friend Harry Osborn, who believes Spider‑Man killed his father. He battles and defeats Harry before rescuing civilians trapped in another burning structure.

Later he encounters Sandman but cannot defeat him, so he returns home where an alien symbiote creates a black suit that boosts his powers. The next day he faces Electro, who has kidnapped a senator, and the Mad Bomber, who has planted explosives across the city. After beating both, Spider‑Man pursues Sandman again and washes him away down the sewers.

Realizing the symbiote is corrupting him, he removes it using sonic vibrations from a church bell. The symbiote then bonds with Eddie Brock, turning him into Venom. Venom and a revived Sandman attack; Spider‑Man defeats Sandman, battles Venom, and watches Venom fall from a building, seemingly dead. He calls an ambulance as the symbiote slithers away, and the game ends with a screenshot reading “The End?”.
