Play Soccer Kid (Venom) Online

Summary

Soccer Kid turns the classic platform formula into a soccer‑themed playground, letting you dribble, shoot, bicycle‑kick and even head your way through scrolling stages. At the title screen you can swap the kid’s kit colour to match your favourite team, a tiny nod that feels surprisingly personal. Each country is split into three distinct levels, and after you clear the trio you’re whisked to a timed bonus stage where you race to snatch food items before the clock runs out. You start with just two hearts, but random chests hide extra ones, and scattered soccer cards are the key to unlocking the true ending – miss them and you’ll see a less satisfying conclusion. Every third level ends with a boss that riffs on a stereotypical figure from that nation, adding a quirky cultural flavor to the challenge. The game uses checkpoints and a life system, and progress is saved according to the version’s method. The GBA port, shown at E3 2002 and published by Telegames, upgrades the visual effects while sacrificing a bit of resolution compared to its predecessors. Critics warmed to the blend of sports and platforming, praising the fresh mechanics and the way the game rewards exploration with hidden cards and secret routes.

Storyline

In the Game Boy Advance title Soccer Kid (also known simply as Soccer Kid), an alien pirate named Scab swoops in on a stadium and snatches the World Cup. The pirate’s ship collides with an asteroid, shattering the trophy into five pieces that scatter across different continents. Determined to stop Scab from adding the prized cup to his collection, Soccer Kid sets off on a globe‑spanning quest.

Traveling from country to country, the hero battles Scab’s themed minions and larger bosses, retrieving each fragment of the World Cup. By reassembling the trophy, Soccer Kid aims to restore the iconic soccer award before the alien pirate can claim it for his own trophy trove.
