Summary

Snood on the Game Boy Advance takes the classic color‑matching formula and wraps it in a handheld package that feels both nostalgic and fresh. Each turn you fire a randomly colored Snood into a crowded playfield; line up three or more of the same hue and they vanish, letting any orphaned pieces drop to safety. The real tension comes from the rising Danger Meter – every launch pushes the ceiling down a notch, and if the Snoods breach the bottom line the game ends. Beyond the seven regular colors (blue Jake, green Midoribe, grey Mildred, purple Spike, red Zod, light‑blue Geji, yellow Sunny) the GBA version introduces four special pieces. Numbskull never launches and must be isolated, Stone blasts adjacent Snoods, Wildcard morphs into any color and can clear multiple groups at once, and Rowbuilder fills an entire row with matching Snoods. The mix of angle‑shooting ricochets and strategic timing makes each level a tiny puzzle‑physics challenge. The title’s charm earned it over 200,000 sales, a 2004 Shareware Industry Award, and even a shout‑out from Steve Wozniak, while its simple yet deep gameplay has found a surprising role in hospital therapy programs.
