Play Sega Smash Pack Online

Summary

The Game Boy Advance got its own slice of Sega nostalgia under the simple banner of Sega Smash Pack, bundling three classic titles. Ecco the Dolphin and Sonic the Hedgehog Spinball made the jump straight from their original codebases, preserving the feel of the 1992 and 1993 originals, while Golden Axe was rebuilt from the ground up for the handheld. The collection’s ambition was undercut by a handful of technical hiccups, and the lack of cooperative play in Golden Axe left fans feeling short‑changed. IGN’s Craig Harris scored the package a modest 6 out of 10, echoing those frustrations. Even though it was in the running for GameSpot’s "Most Disappointing Game on Game Boy Advance" award, the dubious honor ultimately went to The Revenge of Shinobi.
