Summary

Rock n' Roll Racing (Venom) on the Game Boy Advance cranks the classic demolition‑racing formula into a bright, isometric arena where four racers battle for the checkered flag. Two of the drivers can be human players, while the AI fields the ever‑present rivals Rip and Shred, plus a planet‑specific third opponent that keeps each circuit fresh.

Tracks snake over sloping hills, through lava pits, snow drifts and oil‑slicked bends, littered with mines, health packs and cash pickups. Loudmouth Larry’s enthusiastic commentary peppers every lap, and each finishing blow or full‑lap lead earns an attack or lapping bonus that pads your wallet for upgrades.

Between races you can spend that cash on stronger engines, tougher tires, extra shields, or larger weapon and boost capacities—though swapping to a new car wipes previous upgrades. Points earned from podium finishes unlock the next division on each planet, while the GBA’s EEPROM remembers every tweak.

The soundtrack roars with uncredited heavy‑metal classics like “Bad to the Bone,” “Highway Star,” “Paranoid,” “Peter Gunn” and “Born to Be Wild.” A Shockwave demo previewed a single track online, and the Link cable lets friends race head‑to‑head for pure, fast‑paced chaos.
