Storyline

Robopon 2 Cross Version picks up after the first game, when Cody – now the top Legend of Porombo Island – sets out for new lands. He forgets his Robopon, his boat is wrecked in a storm, and he washes up on the continent of Majiko. Determined to become the Robopon champion there, he must collect the one‑of‑a‑kind XStones and challenge the rank‑holders of the region.

Many of the Majiko rank‑holders have hidden the XStones, but Cody can retrieve them by traveling between the present and a world 20 years in the past. During his quest Dr. Zero, who survived the previous game thanks to his brother Dr. Zeke’s time‑travel, now holds the Legend0 rank and has created three cyborg Robopon users for Cody to battle. To face Dr. Zero, Cody must first defeat the Majiko rank‑holders.

Along the way he repeatedly runs into the comically underpowered Nick D, who is trying to collect an XStone to sell and fund his orphanage, leading to frequent duels over the precious stones.
