Summary

The Game Boy Advance version of RoboCop was a planned run‑and‑gun/beat‑'em‑up hybrid that would have let players step into the metal shoes of the titular cyborg, marching through stages lifted straight from the 1987 film. Development traces back to Titus Software’s 1999 acquisition of the RoboCop video‑game rights; by late 2001 the company announced parallel projects for both the Game Boy Color and the GBA, promising a release in the fourth quarter. The handheld title was set to mirror the gameplay of the original 1988 RoboCop arcade experience, essentially recycling its mechanics for a portable audience. Although screenshots surfaced in May 2002 with an October launch penciled in, the GBA version never made it to shelves and was quietly cancelled, leaving only the GBC edition as a tangible relic.
