Summary

Power Rangers S.P.D., also known as Power Rangers: Space Patrol Delta, drops you into a side‑scrolling beat‑em‑up where six Rangers each bring a quirky power to the fight. The Red Ranger phases through obstacles, the Blue Ranger conjures a protective force field, the Green Ranger tracks energy signatures, the Yellow Ranger spawns three copies of herself, the Pink Ranger turns her hand to iron, and the Shadow Ranger wields an energy blade that slices multiple foes.

Beyond the core brawls, the game sprinkles in a handful of mini‑games: racing segments for the Red, Yellow and Pink Delta Runners, a Space‑Invaders‑style targeting challenge for the Green Runner, a robotic‑dog dash with R.I.C., and occasional Megazord battles against giant monsters. These interludes keep the pacing lively and give each ranger a moment to shine outside the standard platforming.

Critics praised the tight controls, especially the wall‑jumping that feels buttery on the GBA, and noted the graphics as a visual high point. However, reviewers complained about repetitive backgrounds and a lack of depth in the core gameplay. The title sits at a middling 55 % on GameRankings, with GameZone awarding 7/10 for its polish and IGN dropping a 4/10 for its overall simplicity.
