Storyline

Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen retells the classic Kanto adventure with updated graphics and mechanics. Players travel across the familiar towns, routes and gyms of the Kanto region, battling trainers and catching a wide variety of Pokémon. As the story progresses, the protagonist eventually gains access to the Sevii Islands, a seven‑island archipelago that was not present in the original Red and Blue games. The islands host several post‑game missions and feature Pokémon normally exclusive to the Johto region. Completing these challenges also unlocks the ability to trade with Ruby and Sapphire for Hoenn‑only Pokémon.
