Summary

The Invincible Iron Man hits the GBA with classic side‑scrolling run‑and‑gun action that lets you zip around eight hand‑crafted stages as Tony Stark’s armored alter‑ego. Your main tool is the iconic repulsor gauntlet; a quick tap fires a modest blast while a charged shot costs more of the on‑screen energy meter, which refills automatically or by gathering glowing energy balls. Hidden throughout each level are portrait tiles that unlock crisp artwork, and special orbs let you unleash a chest‑mounted cannon or a screen‑clearing bomb for those overwhelming hordes. The suit also grants a shoulder‑tackle that doubles as a short‑range flight, giving the platforming a boost of verticality. Critics noted the bright, multi‑layered sprites and smooth controls, though they warned the experience is brief and leans heavily on a Mega Man‑style formula ‑ still, it remains a solid superhero fix on a handheld.

Storyline

Marvel’s The Invincible Iron Man opens with Tony Stark learning that his Iron Man armor has been stolen from Stark Enterprises. He tracks the gear to the harbor, dons a spare suit and fights armored soldiers before confronting his cousin Morgan Stark, who is quickly defeated. Morgan has uploaded the armor’s data, allowing the thieves to reverse‑engineer Stark’s technology.

Following the transmission, Iron Man heads into the woods where a robot army guards a mysterious figure known as the Blizzard. After a fierce fight, the Blizzard retreats to a frozen hideout; Stark disables a power‑regeneration chamber and discovers a secret back‑door into a tower.

Inside, the Crimson Dynamo reveals himself as the mastermind behind the theft. Their battle reaches a stalemate until Stark overloads Dynamo’s armor with energy blasts, causing massive explosions that tear the tower apart. Iron Man escapes, wondering if another encounter might end differently.
