Summary

Playing as the adventurous Pepper Roni in *Lego Island 2: The Brickster's Revenge*, I trek around the archipelago searching for scattered Constructopedia pages. Once found, Pepper delivers them to quirky island residents who then assemble useful structures, gradually reshaping the world.

Exploration rewards meticulous eyes: chalices on Castle Island, red gems on Adventurers Island, yellow crystals on Ogel Island, and hidden LEGO character cards that pop up like secret collectibles. The core gameplay is a string of mini‑games that test reflexes and puzzles, keeping the island buzzing with activity.

Interestingly, the sequel emerged from a failed TV tie‑in; Krisalis repurposed an aborted prototype before Silicon Dreams Studio took over in 1999 after the original team was let go and Mindscape lost the licence. Critics gave the GBA version a solid 75 % on GameRankings, marking it as a respectable follow‑up to the original adventure.

Storyline

The game opens just like the original LEGO Island, with Pepper delivering a pizza to the Brickster in jail. The Brickster devours the peppers, melts the bars with fiery breath, escapes, and hijacks the police helicopter along with the Constructopedia. Each torn page causes a building to fall apart, forcing Pepper to chase the villain across three distinct worlds to recover the pages and rebuild the island.

On Castle Island Pepper must reconstruct the bridge between the Lions and the Bulls, dive through a shark‑filled river, and fire cannons while avoiding skeleton pirates. He then jousts the Dark Knight for the Bulls’ flag and defeats the stubborn bull leader Cedric to claim another page. After returning to LEGO Island he uses a boombox to defeat Brickster Bots, since pizzas no longer work.

Adventurers’ Island introduces Johnny Thunder and Pippin Reed; together they solve the Sphinx’s symbol puzzle, ride Dr. Kilroy’s Speedster, catch the fish Big Bertha, and fly a biplane to the jungle. Pepper rides a T‑Rex, frees Mr. Hates’ dinosaurs, and secures the final page, completing the island portion.

Finally Pepper trains for space, parachutes onto Planet Ogel, makes sleep‑inducing pizzas with the Brickolini family, and climbs a tower to hurl spicy pizzas at the Brickster. After the villain is locked up again, Pepper and the Brickolinis return to LEGO Island for a celebration.
