Storyline

LEGO Bionicle: Quest for the Toa is set on Mata Nui before the Toa Mata appear. The island is divided into six elemental regions—Ga‑Wahi, Le‑Wahi, Ko‑Wahi, Onu‑Wahi, Po‑Wahi and Ta‑Wahi—each led by a Turaga elder. When Makuta’s darkness spreads, villager Takua discovers Turaga Whenua of Onu‑Koro has been kidnapped by a hostile Rahi beast and the sacred Toa Stones have been stolen. He frees Whenua and then journeys to Ga‑Koro, Po‑Koro, Le‑Koro and Ko‑Koro, rescuing Turaga Nokama, Onewa, Matau and Nuju while reclaiming their stones and tools.
In Ta‑Koro Takua finds an antidote for poisoned water, saves Turaga Vakama and secures the final stone hidden in an erupting volcano. He escapes on a lava surfboard, returns the stones to the central temple Kini‑Nui, and a beam of light shoots into the sky. The beam summons the prophesied Toa to the island. Takua is blasted onto a Ta‑Wahi beach, where an open Toa canister and fresh footprints hint at the heroes’ arrival.
