Summary

Kirby & the Amazing Mirror lets me tag team with three other Kirbys, each offering a fresh copy ability—from Cupid’s wing‑capped arrow attacks to Missile’s guided explosiveness and Smash’s nod to Super Smash Bros. The map feels like a compact Metroidvania; nine themed areas branch out from a central hub, and with the right power I can swing into almost any section in the order I prefer, hunting shards to rebuild the shattered Dimension Mirror.

The GBA version adds a real‑time four‑player mode, summoned via an in‑game cellphone, so friends (or CPUs) can join my quest at any time. When I’m not battling bosses, I can dive into side games like Speed Eaters, Crackity Hack, or Wave Ride, each supporting up to four players. Collecting music sheets unlocks a sound test, and spray paint lets me personalize my Kirby’s hue, giving the game a surprisingly social twist beyond the classic platforming run.

Storyline

In Kirby & the Amazing Mirror, a Mirror World floats above Dream Land, granting any wish reflected in its surface. One day a mysterious mind corrupts it, turning the realm into a place of evil.

While Kirby is strolling, Dark Meta Knight appears and slices him into four differently‑colored Kirbys. Each new Kirby hops on a Warp Star, pursues Dark Meta Knight, and plunges into the Mirror World.

The story reveals that the real Meta Knight was defeated in a clash with his dark counterpart, knocked into the Dimension Mirror, and the mirror was shattered into eight fragments scattered across the realm. The four Kirbys must gather all pieces to rescue Meta Knight and restore balance.

After reassembling the mirror, Kirby confronts Dark Meta Knight, claims Meta Knight’s Master Sword, and then battles the true mastermind, Dark Mind, several times until the corruption is erased.

In the finale, Shadow Kirby—the Mirror World’s ally—bids farewell, while Meta Knight drops his sword as a lasting symbol of protection before the heroes exit the Mirror World.
