Summary

Jurassic Park III: Dino Attack (known in the U.S. as Jurassic Park III: Island Attack) lands on the Game Boy Advance as a loose tie‑in to the 2001 film. The handheld experience feels like a compact adventure, letting you wander through the island’s ruins while the occasional forward‑only segment forces you to sprint past lurking predators.

The game’s structure is split between two level styles. Most stages employ a free‑roam layout viewed from an overhead perspective, giving you the freedom to explore at your own pace. Three special stages break the mold with a forward‑only flow and a cross‑section camera angle, adding a fresh visual twist that stands out from the usual top‑down view.

It’s the third and final GBA entry bearing the Jurassic Park III banner, following The DNA Factor and Park Builder, both released earlier that year. That trio rounds out the handheld’s Jurassic legacy, each offering a different slice of dino‑filled chaos.

Storyline

In Jurassic Park III - Dino Attack, the player assumes the role of Dr. Alan Grant after his helicopter crash‑lands on Isla Sorna. The island is a dangerous, dinosaur‑infested wilderness, and Grant must survive while searching for a way off. He manages to contact the coast guard, who instructs him to make his way to the island’s coast for rescue.

Playing as Grant, the goal is to traverse eight separate areas of Isla Sorna, each filled with hazards and prehistoric predators, until he finally reaches the shoreline and signals for extraction.
