Summary

Elf Bowling 1 & 2 lands on the Game Boy Advance as a bizarre mash‑up of bowling and shuffleboard, where you strap on glittering bowling skates and hurl a shiny Christmas‑themed ball at a line of mischievous elves. The elves act as the moving “pucks,” delivering a stream of goofy, colorful commentary that tries to mask the game’s clunky feel. Critics were merciless, slamming the title for its laughably low‑resolution graphics, tinny audio and unresponsive controls that make even a casual throw feel like a chore. Scores reflect the consensus: a dismal 1.4/10 on GameSpot and a 12/100 on Metacritic, cementing its reputation as one of the poorest‑rated releases on the platform. Despite the novelty of its holiday‑themed premise, the package offers no extra content beyond the original freeware version, leaving players with a fleeting novelty that quickly fizzles out.

Storyline

In Elf Bowling 1 & 2 (also known simply as Elf Bowling), Santa’s workshop elves have gone on strike because the holiday rush has left them exhausted. Fed up, Santa decides to turn the disgruntled workers into bowling pins, forcing them to experience a literal “strike.” The quirky premise sets up a wacky sports‑style showdown where each elf tumbles down a lane under Santa’s watchful eye.

The sequel adds a new twist: Santa’s mischievous brother Dingle Kringle tags along on a cruise ship bound for an island adventure. Together they must “save Christmas” from the greedy union elves while delivering the classic bowling action. The game blends humor with simple controls, letting players knock down the rebellious elves for festive fun.
