Summary

Disney's Party tries to capture the chaotic fun of classic board‑game video titles, but it does so with a twist. At the start of each round you’re presented with up to four mini‑game options, and everyone votes; the more votes a game gets, the likelier the spinner will land on it. Once the wheel stops, the chosen mini‑game launches, and the board itself is peppered with an item shop where you can pick up power‑ups to use on the spaces ahead.

The roster is a familiar Disney lineup – Mickey, Donald, Minnie, Daisy, Goofy – plus a brand‑new face named Billy who only appears here. Winning parks by landing on the destination flag and then beating a final mini‑game pushes you toward a boss stage; defeat the boss and the credits roll. The whole structure feels like a stripped‑down Mario Party, but the voting mechanic gives it a slightly different rhythm.

Critics weren’t kind. Metacritic logged a 39/100 for the console version, while the handheld scored just over 40% on Game Rankings. IGN gave the GameCube edition a 5.2/10, quipping that the kingdom might have lost its magic, and the GBA version earned a 4/10 with the joke that “someone forgot to bring the chips and beer.”
