Summary
Monsters, Inc. on the Game Boy Advance lets you dive into the bustling world of Monstropolis as a junior scarer trying to fix the city’s chronic energy shortage. You wander through more than ten levels that are built around recognizable movie stills, chatting with familiar faces, gathering clues, and swapping items to piece together the mystery. The game mixes classic platforming with a dual‑mode combat system: you can either scare the unsuspecting humans or crack jokes to keep the power flowing, each approach unlocking new tricks for later challenges. It first hit North American shelves on October 26 2001, rolled out to Europe in early February 2002, and even resurfaced in a 2005 twin‑pack cartridge bundled with Finding Nemo. A Japanese version arrived in March 2002 under Tomy’s banner, earning a modest 19 out of 40 from Famitsu, while critics on Metacritic gave the GBA and PS2 editions mixed reviews.
