Summary

Denki Blocks! lets you slide colorful "Gumblocks" across a board while immovable "blockers" sit in the way, so a single step moves every free block at once. When two blocks of the same hue touch, they fuse into a clump, and the puzzle’s goal is either to merge all of one colour or to shape a specific pattern. Some levels reward you with Denki Stars for bonus shapes or a "Three Of A Kind" challenge, and those stars unlock special puzzles in the Denki Blocks! Club.

The GBA version offers three solo modes. Tournament pits you against eight escalating groups of 25 puzzles, awarding a trophy and a new level once you clear at least 15 groups. Workout is a sandbox for practicing shapes, while Perfecto! tests how quickly you can recreate a Puzzle Islander’s favourite form.

Multiplayer adds a competitive twist with Race, All Change! and Battle. In Race you sprint to complete shapes, All Change! forces a rapid‑fire round of joining blocks before swapping the target shape with opponents, and Battle is a turn‑based duel to claim every block of your colour.

Critics praised the game’s bright, anime‑inspired graphics and lively sound, calling it a "mind twister" and noting the GBA version’s superior animation and extra levels. Review scores hovered around 8/10, though some found the music a bit repetitive. The developers admitted that price constraints led them to pack in many features, which ultimately gave the game its rich variety.
