Summary

The GBA version of Catwoman swaps the film's gritty realism for a bright, comic‑book aesthetic, giving each level a punch‑line‑ready look. As the nimble heroine, I can cling to walls, zip along metal poles and use her acrobatic finesse to explore rooftops and abandoned warehouses. The game blends basic platforming with occasional puzzles, and its combat lets me chain simple combos that can be upgraded as I progress.

The title uses Halle Berry’s likeness while Jennifer Hale provides Catwoman’s voice, a surprising nod for fans of the series. Reviewers were split: the console versions were panned for poor camera control and clunky combat, but the handheld’s modest ambition earned the GBA edition a middling 61 / 100 on Metacritic.

Storyline

The GBA title Catwoman (often just called Catwoman) loosely mirrors the film’s plot. Patience Phillips works as a timid office clerk for the Hedare corporation, where she stumbles upon a hidden, sinister agenda. Her discovery leads to a murder attempt that leaves her dead. An otherworldly Egyptian cat resurrects her, bestowing feline powers.

Reborn as the vigilante Catwoman, she uses her new abilities to hunt down the executives who tried to kill her, seeking vengeance and justice.
