Storyline

Boktai 2: Solar Boy Django opens in San Miguel, where Django is ambushed by a vampire that steals his Solar Gun and uses it on him. Unarmed, he stumbles through a dungeon until Zazie, the Sunflower girl, gives him the Solar Glove, letting him imbue ordinary weapons with sunlight. Guided by Zazie, Django learns that the town blacksmith Smith has vanished, and she points him toward the cathedral.

Inside the cathedral Django uncovers the vampire’s true identity—his own father Ringo—and learns the stolen Solar Gun is badly damaged. Smith’s granddaughter Violet (Sumire) and returning allies Lita, Sabata, and librarian Lady each help Django fight the Doomsday Beast Jormungandr multiple times, with each victory unlocking a different ending dialogue about light and dark co‑existing.

The game adds NPCs such as Kid, who runs the potion and armor shop, Cheyenne the Wind Warrior who becomes a weapons vendor after defeat, and a coffin merchant. A cameo by Solid Snake appears as a hidden character. After the final battle, players can continue from their last save, and the story offers four main endings plus two bad outcomes based on Jormungandr defeats and choices.
