Summary

James Bond 007: Everything or Nothing on the Game Boy Advance packs a surprisingly deep Bond experience into a handheld format. The isometric third‑person shooter leans heavily on stealth, letting you slip behind guards for extra Style Points, while a cover system and rappel mechanics keep the action fluid. Each of the eight globe‑spanning missions offers primary objectives and optional side goals that feed a points‑based shop where you can upgrade armor, weapons, speed and aiming, and even unlock a blackjack mini‑game. Driving sections break up the foot combat, with an isometric chase where your car fires machine‑guns, rockets and oil slicks at pursuers. Multiplayer deathmatch supports up to four players via a link cable, and a GameCube‑GBA link unlocks extra mini‑games and gadget upgrades. The game features the likenesses and brief voice lines of Pierce Brosnan, Judi Dench, Willem Dafoe, Heidi Klum and Mýa, who also sings the end‑credits theme. Critics praised its authentic Bond audio and graphics, though they noted the short length and cramped environments.

Storyline

The handheld adventure 007 – Everything or Nothing (Rising Sun) kicks off in the Egyptian Sahara, where James Bond sneaks into a covert weapons complex and blows it sky‑high. From there he’s whisked to a bustling Cairo casino to tail ex‑KGB operative Arkady Yayakov, suspected of dealing in stolen nanotechnology. A high‑speed car chase leads Bond to a train yard used as Yayakov’s shipping hub, where he uncovers nanotech traces and squares off with a familiar foe, Jaws, in a gritty showdown.

MI6 soon learns that Yayakov’s client is another former KGB operative, Nikolai Diavolo, who has hidden a base deep in the Peruvian jungle near a platinum mine. Bond teams up with Agent 003, who has been monitoring the site, but the mission goes sideways when 003 is killed and Bond must chase Diavolo through another frantic car pursuit.

The trail then points to a crypt beneath New Orleans, where Diavolo has partnered with scientist Dr. Katya Nadanova. She’s engineered nanobots that devour any metal except platinum, intending to forge an army of platinum‑coated super‑soldiers and launch nanotech missiles at Moscow unless her demands are met.

American operative Mya Starling is dispatched to sabotage Diavolo’s nanotech plant in the Andes, but she disappears. Bond follows, navigating a sprawling underground facility woven through ancient Incan ruins. Starling eventually escapes, the plant is destroyed, and Bond races to Moscow.

In the Russian capital he halts Nadanova’s armored tank, battles Jaws once more, and finally confronts Diavolo, ending the villain’s nanotech nightmare with a decisive kill.
