Summary

NESert Golfing is a quirky 2D golf title that landed on the NES, borrowing the stark, endless desert vibe of its indie predecessor, Desert Golfing. The game strips the sport down to its essentials: a single swing, a simple ball trajectory, and a minimalist backdrop that feels both nostalgic and oddly meditative. Controls are dead‑simple, letting you focus on timing and angle rather than menus or power meters. Though it never made a big splash outside Japan, the title has become a cult favorite among retro‑gaming circles for its pure, almost hypnotic gameplay loop. It’s a perfect example of how a classic console can capture the spirit of a modern indie hit in just a few pixels and a single button.
