Summary
Fever Pitch Soccer (known as Head‑On Soccer in its earlier North American releases) made its way to the Atari Jaguar in December 1995, courtesy of Distinctive Developments and Atari Corporation. The Jaguar version is essentially a faithful port of the Super NES edition, with only minor graphical tweaks and a different soundtrack, while keeping the European title across all regions. Played from an isometric 2‑D perspective, the game leans into arcade‑style, "dirty" tactics – players can dive for free‑kicks, unleash special moves, and unlock new squad members as they win. It offers a Tournament mode with 51 national teams and an Exhibition mode for casual matches, plus five language options and a password system for progress. Though reviewers noted it didn’t fully exploit the Jaguar’s hardware, many still praised it as one of the system’s more enjoyable titles.
