Summary
The Humans, which originally sprouted under the cheeky working title Dino Dudes, began its life on the Atari Lynx before finding a home on the Amiga in 1992. Imagitec Design in Dewsbury, England, crafted the game and Mirage Technologies brought it to market, while Atari later saw enough promise to commission ports for the Falcon and Jaguar.
In play, the title feels like a cross between Lode Runner’s clever navigation and Lemmings’ frantic multitasking. You guide a small tribe of prehistoric people, swapping control between them as you solve scrolling puzzles that demand you discover tools, the wheel, weapons or even fire. Each level hands you a specific objective and a limited crew, making teamwork the key to evolution.
The Jaguar version retains the same quirky charm, proving that the quirky “Dino Dudes” concept could survive the jump to a 64‑bit console without losing its puzzle‑platform heart.
