Summary

Tank Command is a vertically scrolling action title for the Atari 7800 that drops you into a three‑stage assault to seize an enemy flag. Your lone tank must carve a path through a parade of enemy tanks, pillboxes, missiles, jeeps, infantry and even huts, each yielding points when blown up, while you keep an eye on a dwindling fuel and ammo gauge that can be topped up by occasional bonus icons. The game’s difficulty spikes dramatically after a relatively forgiving first stage, turning the later levels into a test of persistence rather than pure skill. Visually, the scrolling terrain is tinted a strange pink, giving the battlefield an off‑beat look that sets it apart from more conventional green‑field shooters. Because it was released only in NTSC, original boxed copies are now a pricey collector’s item.
