Summary
Ms. Pac-Man darts through a series of brightly colored mazes, gobbling dots, energy pills, fruit, pretzels and even teddy bears as she evades four mischievous ghosts. When she swallows a power pellet the ghosts turn blue and become vulnerable, letting her chase them for extra points before they retreat. The gameās four maze designs rotate in a predictable patternāpink, lightāblue, brown and darkāblueāeach with solidācolor walls that make the pathways easier to read than the original PacāMan. Unlike her predecessor, three of the mazes feature two sets of warp tunnels, and the ghosts follow semiārandom routes, especially Blinky and Pinky at the start of each level, which thwarts memorised patterns. Fruit doesnāt sit still; it bounces around the corridors, entering and exiting through the tunnels, and after the eighth round the fruit sequence becomes completely random, ranging from a 5,000āpoint banana to a modest 100āpoint cherry. The orange ghost, Sue, adds a fresh personality, while the whimsical loveāthemed narrationāMs. PacāManās quest to reunite with her PacāMan sweetheartāgives the classic chase a playful, romantic twist.
