Summary
Food Fight captures the frantic spirit of arcade dodging with an analog‑position joystick and single button. You steer Charley Chuck across an empty arena, trying to snatch an ice‑cream cone before it melts while four mischievous chefs—Oscar, Angelo, Jacques and Zorba—pop up from floor holes to block you.
Scattered piles of pies, peas, tomatoes, bananas and endless watermelons become ammo; throwing one hits a chef and knocks him off‑screen, and luring a chef into a hole nets extra points. The scoring system rewards unused food when you finally bite the cone, and the cone’s value climbs steadily until level 50, encouraging increasingly daring runs. A quirky Atari 7800 bug can trigger an “ALMOST MADE IT” message during the instant replay if Charley is struck, briefly reviving a lost life—a reminder that even classic titles have their little surprises.
Storyline
Food Fight on the Atari 7800 puts you in the shoes of Charley Chuck, a kid on a frantic sprint across an open playfield. His mission is simple: grab the ice‑cream cone before it melts. Four over‑zealous chefs—Oscar, Angelo, Jacques, and Zorba—stand in his way, chasing him and hurling food as obstacles. The chase is relentless, turning the screen into a chaotic buffet of tossed dishes. Charley must dodge, weave, and out‑run the culinary onslaught to claim his sweet prize.
