Summary

World Heroes 2 Jet lets you choose from a roster of sixteen fighters and throw down in either the Tournament mode or the practice‑style Forging of Warriors. In Tournament you battle through four groups of three opponents, needing two wins per group before moving on to face Captain Kidd, Hanzou, and finally Zeus’s henchmen and Zeus himself.

The control scheme sticks to the classic three‑button layout – punch, kick and a throw/taunt button – while adding forward and backward dashing, which the “Jet” subtitle highlights. When two attacks collide they rebound, creating a distinctive clash that can turn the tide of a match.

Forging of Warriors is a single‑player gauntlet where you pick an opponent, win two out of three rounds, and repeat; after four consecutive victories the run ends. This is also the only mode that supports two‑player versus play, using the opponent’s original stage from the series, with new characters fighting on their own exclusive arenas.

Storyline

The World Heroes 2 Jet arcade sequel picks up a year after the original’s climax. After Dio and Neo Geegus were defeated, the fourteen warriors returned to their own eras, only to receive mysterious invitations to a new competition called the World Heroes Battle Fest. The tournament is slated to run for five days across various global locations, broadcast to millions of fans.

Unbeknownst to the fighters, the event is not backed by Dr. Brown but by a shadowy billionaire known only as Mr. Z. He hides behind the tournament’s bright lights, pulling the strings from the darkness. His true goal is world domination, and he has two loyal servants ready to crush anyone who stands in his way.

As the heroes step into the arena, they remain unaware of the sinister mastermind orchestrating the battle. The stage is set for a frantic showdown, and only one combatant can emerge as the last one standing.
