World Heroes 2 Jet amps up the classic arcade fighter with a real sense of speed – the "Jet" in the title isn’t just a label, it literally lets you dash forward and backward, something the original lacked. The control scheme stays true to the series with its three‑button layout (punch, kick, throw/taunt) and an 8‑way stick, but the addition of rebound when two attacks collide adds a fresh tactical twist.

Three brand‑new characters join the roster, and every veteran gets tweaked moves and stats, making each match feel distinctive. The old Normal and Death Match modes give way to "Entry to the tournament", a structured gauntlet where you must clear groups of three opponents, then take down Captain Kidd, Hanzou, and finally Zeus’s henchmen before facing Zeus himself. "The FORGING OF WARRIORS" offers a more freeform pick‑your‑opponent experience, with the only multiplayer option, letting two fighters duel until one wins four straight bouts.

Storyline

World Heroes 2 Jet kicks off a five‑day World Heroes Battle Fest, bringing back the fourteen warriors who survived the previous World Heroes 2 showdown. After the defeat of Dio and Neo Geegus, the fighters returned to their own eras, only to receive mysterious invitations to compete again across different global locations, watched by millions.

The tournament isn’t sponsored by Dr. Brown as expected; a shadowy billionaire known only as Mr. Z funds the event. He hides a ruthless plan for world domination and employs two loyal henchmen to eliminate anyone who opposes him.

Unaware of the hidden agenda, the heroes enter the battles while a dark presence looms behind the scenes. The fight continues, and only one combatant can emerge as the last one standing.
