Summary
Violence Fight plunges players into a 1950s American underground tournament where criminals, mobsters and even ordinary citizens compete for cash and the coveted title of “No. 1 Quarreler.” Spectators toss empty bottles while cheering each brutal exchange, creating a raw, gritty vibe.
The game plays in enclosed arenas instead of side‑scrolling streets, letting you move in eight directions and attack with three simple buttons—punch, kick and jump. Combining punch‑plus‑jump or kick‑plus‑jump fires special moves, while punch‑plus‑kick lets you duck and dodge incoming blows. You can even pick up crates, barrels or thrown bottles and toss them at opponents for extra damage. Matches consist of up to three timed rounds, and you win by landing enough hits to deplete the enemy’s health.
The roster offers four distinct fighters: Bad Blue, the balanced Los Angeles street champion; Ben Smith, a quick‑tempered Marine‑boxer; Rick Joe, a wrestler seeking redemption after a murderous past; and Lee Chen, a Chinese‑style martial artist raised in Miami. Bosses Ron Max, a head‑butting farmer, and Tony Won, a chain‑wielding gang leader, close each stage with memorable gimmicks. Their varied backgrounds give the game an unexpectedly colorful cast for an arena brawler.
Storyline
Violence Fight takes place in the early 1960s in the United States, though the attract screen mistakenly lists the 1950s. An underground tournament has risen from the criminal underworld to capture the public’s imagination, drawing mobsters, street toughs, and ordinary citizens alike. Contestants travel from coast to coast, battling for large cash prizes and the coveted title of “No. 1 Quarreler”.
One of the entrants is a young Los Angeles fighter called Bad Blue – occasionally rendered as Bat Blue – who hopes to claim the championship and split his winnings with his manager, Blinks. His ambition reflects the tournament’s lure: fame, fortune, and the chance to prove oneself in a lawless arena. The game follows his path through the gritty matches that define the era’s illicit sport.
