Summary

Storyline

Sunset Riders (Arcade) follows four bounty hunters as they chase the most wanted outlaws across a stylized Old West. In the version most commonly cited, the heroes are Steve, Billy, Bob and Cormano; each stage begins with a wanted poster that introduces the outlaw they must capture, and the level ends with a showdown against that boss. A different regional version swaps the protagonists for Garitt, Daniel, Tyler and Kaeleb, and the final outlaws of each stage become Simon Gregwell, Tyler Skank Hatfield, Dark Garitt, the Daniel Brothers, El Grego, Chief Dumpen, Paco Kaeleb and Sir Justin Rose. Both versions share the same basic premise: ride through towns, deserts and canyons, defeat waves of henchmen, and finally defeat the stage’s chief villain to claim the bounty.
