Summary

Mutant Fighter (known in Japan as デスブレイド, or Death Brade, and briefly tested in the UK under the name Heroes) drops you into a chaotic arena where eight fighters—three humans and five classic monsters—battle for the ultimate throne. Each character is defined by a distinct mix of Power, Speed and Defense, and they all build up Energy with successful hits to unleash a roster of 19 special attacks via combo strings. The arcade cabinet even doubles as a tutorial, letting you watch a demo on the title screen to learn the moves before stepping into the fray. I love how the game lets two players team up against two AI opponents, choosing their first three foes before the computer takes over. Storyline

You take on twelve challengers, each appearing in turn as a single opponent you must defeat before moving on. The fights are sequential, forcing you to master each combatant’s patterns.

When the final opponent falls, the tournament concludes and you are crowned the new ruler of the realm, ending the story with a triumphant ascension.
