The arcade runs six stages plus two bonus rounds, each set in a different Metro City locale and ending with a unique boss. Storyline

In the arcade classic Final Fight, the action unfolds in the fictional Atlantic‑coast city of Metro City during the 1990s, a place plagued by rampant crime. Mayor Mike Haggar, a former pro wrestler who has just been elected, has been cutting down the violence but faces a new threat.

The Mad Gear gang, led by the crooked businessman Belger, kidnaps Haggar’s young daughter Jessica to force the mayor’s compliance. Determined not to sit behind his desk, Haggar enlists Jessica’s boyfriend Cody Travers and his friend Guy, a ninja‑in‑training, to launch a rescue mission.

Together the trio battles through the city’s slums, subway and other districts, confronting gang members and bosses before finally confronting Belger and rescuing Jessica.
