Summary

Dragon Blaze drops you into a bright yet eerie world of vertical‑scrolling madness, where you pilot a dragon and unleash a barrage of magic shots and the signature Dragon Shot. You choose from four riders—Soaring Dragon Knight Quaid, Ocean Girl Sonia, Forest Guardian Rob, or Necromancer Ian—each sporting a distinct sub‑shot like Holy Lance or Freeze Arrow, plus a unique combined magic and separation attack that shift when you detach from the beast. Scoring spikes when you time a Dragon Shot on enemies and when you nail a boss’s core, encouraging both precise dodging and daring aggression.

The title debuted in arcades in 2000 and was later wrapped into Psikyo’s Shooting Collection Vol. 3 for the PS2 in 2004, before seeing a standalone European release from 505 Games. Settings let you tweak difficulty, lives, continues, and even screen orientation, while online leaderboards let you measure your draconic prowess against worldwide rivals.

Power‑ups appear as "P" for weapon boosts and "B" for bombs that clear the screen, rounding out a classic yet fresh shmup experience for anyone chasing high‑score thrills.
