Summary

The Capcom arcade classic Avengers (sometimes called Avenger) drops you into the neon‑lit streets of Paradise City, where a villain named Geshita has snatched six girls. You can play as either Ryu or Ko, battling through vertically scrolling stages with a simple trio of moves—quick punches, longer‑range kicks, and a sweeping 360° roundhouse. Along the way you’ll find power‑ups such as Speed Up, Super Punch, grenades, shuriken, nunchaku and extra health, and hidden rooms open by smashing side doors. Director Takashi Nishiyama, who later co‑planned the original Street Fighter, packed the game with the kinetic beat‑em‑up flair that still feels fresh for retro fans.

Storyline

Avengers on Arcade (sometimes just called Avengers) drops you into Paradise City, a neon‑lit district under siege. The nefarious Geshita has kidnapped six local girls, using them as leverage to tighten his grip. You step into the shoes of either Ryu or Ko, the game’s two playable heroes, and set out to rescue the hostages. The core mission is simple: track down Geshita’s hideouts, defeat his minions, and finally banish the villain from Paradise City for good.
